Enterprise DICOM Server & DICOM Integration for Bangladesh
A DICOM server is the engine of a PACS: the service that receives images from modalities, stores them, answers queries and sends studies where they are needed. EMSL's DICOM server is the archive behind its PACS, deployed in 100+ hospitals and diagnostic centres across Bangladesh, and it is also available to hospitals that need a standards-based imaging archive beside an existing HIS, RIS or viewer.
What the DICOM platform does
- ◆Storage SCP — receives studies over C-STORE from any DICOM-conformant modality, workstation or PACS
- ◆Query/Retrieve SCP — C-FIND and C-MOVE at patient, study, series and image level
- ◆Storage Commitment, so modalities can safely clear their local storage
- ◆Modality Worklist (MWL) SCP fed from RIS or HIS scheduling
- ◆DICOMweb — QIDO-RS search, WADO-RS retrieve and STOW-RS store over HTTPS
- ◆Study routing — forward incoming studies to reading workstations, remote readers or a second archive by rule
- ◆Lossless compression and tiered storage for long-term archiving
- ◆Per-node access control (registered AE titles, IP addresses and ports) and a complete access log
Standards first
Every service is standard DICOM or DICOMweb, so the server works with modalities and workstations from any vendor and can be extended or replaced without lock-in.
Runs beside what you have
Use it as the archive for EMSL's PACS and viewer, or as a standards-based DICOM store behind a third-party RIS, viewer or HIS through DICOM and HL7.
Built for sustained ingest
Designed for the peak-hour load of busy diagnostic centres, where several modalities send studies at the same time.
On-premise, cloud or both
Deploy inside the hospital, in the cloud, or on-premise with a cloud copy for disaster recovery.
